ā€œYou must never stop being whimsical. And you must not, ever, give anyone else the responsibility for your life.ā€

  • Founder & Therapist

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Willow Tree collective. I received my masters degree at Seminary of the Southwest where I learned to integrate spirituality and nature into my work as a psychotherapist. My career before graduate school helped me grow my love of the outdoors and community engagement.

My road has been winding and unexpected (Fun fact: I lived in a horse barn for a while!) and am grateful for all the experiences and relationships that have formed me into the therapist I am. Besides being a therapist, I hold many identities: partner, bio parent/stepparent, entrepreneur, neurodivergent, queer, late bloomer and community builder to name a few.

I am pulled towards the natural world and find meaning everywhere and in everything. Give me a tree and I'll give you one hundred metaphors! Nature is constantly trying to teach us to slow down, to embrace the process, to accept the seasons and changes. I come back again and again to mother nature as my teacher. I am passionate about learning from others, storytelling, moving my body, and helping to create positive change. Learn more about my journey to becoming a therapist and my desire to integrate nature HERE.

Outside of work, youā€™ll find me playing with my kiddos, watching my backyard chickens, birding with my partner, and having long conversations with my beloved friends.

  • Associate Therapist

Supervised by Maria Reyna, PhD, LPC-S

I received my Master of Counseling in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seminary of the Southwest and am an LPC Associate. I've worn many hats: prison reform activist, theatre actor, mom, and writer. I have a Performance degree, and just launched my therapeutic theatre passion project, SpiritHouse. All of the seemingly disparate paths in my life have led me here.

At my core, I believe in liberation- on a collective and individual level. Freedom from all systems of oppression, and freedom from the ghosts of trauma that haunt us. I am deeply interested in intergenerational/ ancestral trauma, releasing trauma from the body via Somatic Experiencing, and compassion-focused narrative therapy. I follow my intuition and guidance and welcome your ancestral/ cultural methods.

I believe deeply in the magical, alchemical nature of therapy. As a Black woman at the intersections of neurodivergence, chronic illness, queerness, and motherhood, I know the importance of being seen holistically.

I'm not here to pathologize you, but rather help identify the patterns & behaviors you developed to help you survive, that may no longer be serving you. Therapy is the process of making and un-making ourselves. It is an honor to do this work.

  • Podcasts

Currently, Iā€™m listening to Light up the Couch, Climate Change & Happiness, Maintenance Phase, and If Books Could Kill, to name a few.

  • Books

I am always reading numerous things at one time. A few pages here, a few pages there, but I do manage to finish books if I get really sucked in! I just finished reading the Women and am also deep diving in ADHD 2.0.

  • Exploring

This heat has made it so hard to enjoy being outside this summer! However, I did escape a few times to Jessica Hollis Park outside of Austin. The water is freezing, crystal clear, and a beautiful place to swim or kayak.
