Curious Souls Seeking Deeper Connection

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?”

— Mary Oliver

Does this sound familiar?

Feeling overwhelmed all the time?

Saying yes even though your insides are screaming NO!

Experiencing disconnection at work, at home, in relationships, within yourself?

Feeling shame more often than feelings of joy, gratitude, hopefulness.

Specialities

  • Identity Exploration

Discovering new parts of ourselves and identity curiosity can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. This can be a space to name the complexities and get support towards embracing the fullness of you.

  • Life Transitions

New jobs, relationships, becoming a parent, and leaving home for the first time can all feel great and hard at the same time. It can be helpful to have a space to talk through big life changes. We bring curiosity and creativity into this space of exploration.

  • Climate-Related Anxiety/Grief/Distress

Climate change is being felt by us all with warming climates and natural disasters growing. It can be overwhelming and paralyzing to think about the future. We believe there is hope in connecting back to nature and reaching out to others for support. You are not alone in your fears and anger.

  • Relationships & Dating

Whether you are in a long-term partnership, at the beginning of a relationship or single, there are complexities at every stage. We work with individuals seeking support around connection and healing.

  • Religious Trauma & Spiritual Exploration

If you grew up in strict and harmful religious environments, you may be in the process of deconstructing these beliefs and experiences. With personal experience in this area, we feel passionate about helping others claim what is their own truth and supporting their healing journey.

  • Depression & Anxiety

Although many of us deal with anxiety and depression these days, it can feel very isolating. What if you didn’t have to feel so alone? We are here to help you connect deeper and heal from within.

We celebrate and delight in our differences. We acknowledge the limitations we may have in understanding the struggles others face based on gender identity, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, religion, body size, socioeconomic status, and education. Willow Tree Collective is a sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and climate-aware practice focused on cultivating healing and connection.

The First Steps

  • 01

Great! You’ve taken the first step for yourself in doing the research (Wow that part can be so overwhelming!) First we’ll set up a 20 minutes consultation to determine if we want to work together.

  • 02

For the first session, we’ll go over paperwork and get to know one another. It’s a slow process in building a relationship and we take great delight in learning about your story and what makes you, you!

  • 03

We ask clients to commit to meeting weekly for the first 6-8 sessions. After that, we’ll discuss need and options for frequency. This process is collaborative, so we’ll continually be in conversation about your needs & feelings through this process.

  • In Person & Virtual

There can be many factors in deciding what type of therapy is right for you, which is why I offer both virtual and in person sessions. My hope in providing a variety of options to folks is to help make therapy as accessible as possible. There are benefits to both and I am happy to discuss these options in more detail during a consultation.

  • Outdoor Therapy

Sometimes we need a break from sitting inside or staring at our screens. Being outside can provide deeper levels of connection to ourselves and the natural world. I offer outdoor sessions at Pease Park at specific times of day. Some clients have said it’s helpful to walk and talk while others have enjoyed just finding a quiet spot to connect. Reach out if you’re curious to hear more about this offering.
